New Business Manager

As SIXT Van & Truck continue to grow and expand our footprint in the UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced New Business Manager to join our Sales Team. As a New Business Manager, you will be promoting ‘usership over ownership’ to maximise sales opportunities within your own territory. What does a New Business Manager do day to day? For most businesses, their commercial vehicles are critical to their ability to conduct their primary activity, be that plumber, builder, electrician, courier, etc – if they are not on the road, they are not earning money. Every van on the road is a potential customer, and as a New Business Manager, we will be looking to you to create relationships with these businesses. You would be expected to be out in the field focusing on fleets of all shapes and sizes in the SME market, generating your own leads and engaging with potential customers across your area. You will develop a detailed understanding of your local market, including local investment, new projects, and business initiatives – you will open doors, start conversations and build relationships based on truly understanding what is important to the businesses in your area, and showing them how they can work together with SVAT to create a first class fleet solution.

The demands for success are high and therefore the successful applicant will need to have a proven track record in sales and Business development, preferably from a B2B service market. Whilst this is a remote field based role, please note that the territory that we are currently recruiting for is Manchester (North West) and applicants will need to be readily available to regularly visit clients in this location.

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities  

  • You identify, analyse and develop new customers and manage to inspire new cooperation partners for a collaboration with SVAT
  • You implement customer-specific solution concepts based on the SVAT  product portfolio
  • You are responsible for customer satisfaction and implementation of the SVAT corporate and sales strategy
  • Record and maintain customer data within the CRM tool ensuring a high standard of accuracy
  • Achieve and exceed the sales targets set by the business

Your Qualities  

  • Proven experience in Sales, in the mobility services sector, travel industry or generally in the automotive industry with a focus on new Business development.
  • You are confident on all levels, work in a structured and independent manner
  • Self motivated and able to generate your own leads and convert those leads into trading accounts
  • Highly motivated, dynamic and hands-on personality willing to go the extra mile
  • You have very good knowledge of sales tools (ideally Salesforce)
  •  Excellent account management and relationship building skills
